Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Adds Household Accounts
Virgin Atlantic is notifying Flying Club members today of a positive development that makes it easier to redeem points for flights.
The loyalty program now supports household accounts. You can now pool your points with any other Flying Club member in your household, to fast-track your way to reward seats, upgrades, or money off your next flight.
And because Virgin Points never expire, you can carry on clubbing your points together until you are ready for your next adventure.
You can add up to nine Household members who live with you. All Virgin Points earned through Flying Club will go into the Household account automatically. Points earned through Virgin Red won’t, but if you can still transfer those points for free.
Linked account will stay linked for at least 12 months. After that you can choose to unlink. You can possibly do so even before the 12 months are up by calling in.
It also looks like only points earned while accounts are linked will be pooled together with the Household leader.
It’s worth noting that the terms state that only the Household leader will be able to spend Household points.
