Last year, The Home Depot launched the Grand Duchess Balsam Fir as part of its Home Decorators Collection. This 7.5-foot-tall artificial tree is a towering spectacle to behold, featuring a whopping 3,000 branch tips and over 2,000 color-changing LED lights. It’s easy to understand why it went viral!
If you follow the hashtag #grandduchessbalsamfir on TikTok, you can find more than 12.5 million views! You can also search for “christmas tree from home depot” to find hits. The video above shows the Grand Duchess Fir in action with all its glistening lights.
How to Get The Home Depot Grand Duchess Balsam Fir in Stock
Last year, after this Christmas tree went viral on TikTok, it became hard to find in stock at The Home Depot online and in stores. All options, including the 7.5-ft. tree (available for $349), 9-ft. tree (available for $499) and 12-ft. tree (available for $899), were sold out at one point.
As of late July 2024, The Home Depot does not have this tree available for purchase. When it was out of stock last year, you could still visit the product page, and check for where stock might be available. This year, the product page no longer exists.
It is possible that the Grand Duchess Balsam Fir Christmas Tree will be back in stock when The Home Depot officially launches its collection of holiday decor for the 2024 season. However, it is also possible that the product will not return to shelves, and a new viral model will take its place.
Grand Duchess Christmas Tree Recall
Last year, the Home Decorators Collection Grand Duchess Balsam Fir tree was recalled in Canada due to electrical issues and could be returned to stores for a full refund. You need not worry if you bought your tree at The Home Depot in the U.S., though. The Home Depot has stated that there was an error with the version being sold in Canadian The Home Depot stores, and the version in the U.S. was safe.
Where to Find The Home Depot Grand Duchess Balsam Fir Christmas Tree?
Since this Christmas tree is not currently part of The Home Depot’s product selection, it can only be found at resale retailers. Below, we have highlighted where you can buy this tree now. The price is significantly higher than this tree’s original price of $349, so you should consider waiting to see what The Home Depot has in store for its 2024 holiday season collection.
