Qatar Airways Now Waives Reward Fees for U.S. Cardholders

Qatar Airways Privilege Club has announced a new benefit for its two Cardless credit cards.

Starting today, Qatar Airways Privilege Club is rolling out a reward fees waiver for the Privilege Club Visa Infinite and Visa Signature credit cards.

Here’s how this new benefit works:

  • Cardholders can now get a full refund on reward fees for award flights booked with Qatar Airways. The Reward Flight Fee Waiver only applies to Qatar Airways operated Award Flights.
  • New benefits will save travelers up to $600 in Business/First Class and up to $300 in Economy on every round-trip award flight. There is no limit to the number of reward fee refunds you can receive during the qualification period.
  • To qualify, cardholders need to spend $15,000 in their first card year and $25,000 in subsequent years to unlock this benefit, which will be refunded as a statement credit after the flight.

This new offering makes Qatar Airways credit cards even more attractive for frequent travelers, although there is a hefty spending requirement in order to unlock this benefit.

Qatar Airways and Cardless launched these two cads earlier this year. The Signature card has an annual fee of $99, a bonus of 40,000 Avios and fast-track to Privilege Club Silver tier. The Infinite card has a $499 annual fee, signup bonus of 50,000 Avios and and fast-track to Privilege Gold.
