Today, August 26th is National Dog Day, so if you’re out and about with your furry friend and want to celebrate, we’ve rounded up a list of restaurants that offer FREE or inexpensive dog treats! One of these treats is pup cups, which are cups of either vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Regardless of the treat, your furry friend will love it!

If you can’t make it out for a treat today, no worries – these goodies are available year-round!

Note that these items or freebies may only be available at some locations, so be sure to check with your local establishment before making a special trip.

IMPORTANT NOTE – Since a few of these items aren’t “official” dog food products, be sure to consult your veterinarian before feeding your pet something new to avoid an upset stomach. Some treats are also not meant for small dogs so they should only have a lick or two!

1. Stop by Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers for a vanilla custard pup cup.
