There’s no time like a new season to give your home a little design refresh, and with fall around the corner, it’s the perfect time to update your space.
According to interior designer Sallie Lord of GreyHunt Interiors, there are several key design trends we’re seeing for fall:
- First up, a shift in color: “We’re pulling away from cool colors and stepping into the warmth of creams, beige, ambers and rich, deep hues,” she says.
- We’re also seeing a major fashion trend move into our homes. Lord shares, “Quiet luxury, characterized by a mix of patterns and textures is a new must-have, and we’re seeing a growing emphasis on sustainable design.”
- Incorporating vintage pieces in your home is the perfect way to add a level of sustainability by reusing past treasures, plus it helps bring your home into another trend, as well: “Creating classic aesthetics by blending the past with a mix of the new is a huge trend right now,” says Lord.
