Hey ghosts and goblins, it’s finally time to dust off those Halloween decorations (if you haven’t done so already in mid-September, like I did). Fall is the only time of year that you can dress up your home with witches, skeletons, bats and more — and a fun trip to Home Goods is the best way to do that. The retailer carried an overwhelming amount of spooky products, so I went ahead and found my favorites this season.
Best Halloween Decor to Shop at HomeGoods
While most HomeGoods carry the same items, it’s important to keep in mind that your local store may have some out of stock. If that’s the case, check with a store representative to make sure it’s not available (there’s loads of Halloween-related decor all throughout the brick and mortar store, so there’s also a good chance you passed it).
With that being said, scroll on to check out my top 12 picks, all under $25, now.
Meditating Skeleton, $10
I found this meditating skeleton while waiting in line for the cash register, and I’ve never been so happy with an impulse buy (it’s currently staring at me on my television stand). It gives off that creepy crawly feeling while also being budget-friendly, and it’s small enough where you can stick it virtually anywhere in your home.

Witch Throw Pillow, $25
Nothing says spooky season like Halloween throw pillows. There were a few options around the store that you could choose from to match your home aesthetic. I particularly loved this modern witch throw pillow for $25. There were additional pillows that I was tempted to add to my cart, like a $20 ‘Boo!’ decorative pillow or a $20 Sanderson Sisters pillow as a nod to the iconic “Hocus Pocus” movie.

Spooky Candlestick, $13
One of the most underrated ways to decorate is with candlesticks. As an avid candle lover, these chic yet eerie candlesticks immediately caught my eye — plus, you can leave them out after the holiday is over. Pair them with LED tapers if you prefer not to burn real candles.

Waverly Pumpkin Welcome Mat, $20
How could you celebrate Halloween without a pumpkin welcome mat? This shed resistant mat features a memory foam backing. It’s only $20 and should be vacuumed regularly to keep the pumpkin smiling all season long. (P.S. they had many other budget-friendly welcome mat options, so you can go searching for your favorite!)

Well Dressed Home Monster Hand Towels, $13 each
The first thing I do for any holiday decorating is swap out the hand towels accordingly. I immediately spotted these Frankenstein sets, both including 2 hand towels, priced at $13. They’re the perfect simple addition to any bathroom to make it just a little more spine-chilling. HomeGoods showcased a separate stand specifically for Halloween-inspired hand and dish towels, so you’re bound to find something that spooks you.

Wild Eye Designs Ceramic Butter Dish, $10
Never miss the kitchen when decorating for a holiday. I often leave my butter out for room temperature, so this ceramic butter dish is the ideal way to incorporate scary decor into your everyday routine. Wash it in warm soapy water, rinse, then let it air dry to make sure it’s long-lasting for many pumpkins seasons hereafter.

Blue Sky Clayworks Haunted House, $25
I was shocked to learn that this painted haunted house was just $25, considering it feels effortlessly expensive. It’s adorned with pumpkins, ghosts and gravestones, while looking elegant for your living room mantel. I found it in the miscellaneous Halloween section on one of the many decor-filled tables.

Ghost Lotion Pump, $10
That ghostly face alone convinced me to buy a new lotion dispenser. All you have to do is pour in the hand soap or lotion that you usually reach for and, voila, you have an adorable new Halloween decoration that your guests will be asking you about. Place it in your bathroom or kitchen for best use.

Haunted Table Runner, $17
I love to host guests during the fall months and this $17 table runner is the perfect way to upgrade your dining table while hosting. There was an entire rack of more muted table runner options should this particular one not be your style, but the evil trees and creepy haunted houses caught my eye!
Amazon alternative: $9.99 at Amazon
The Farmhouse Pumpkin Garland, $15
If you’re looking for something that can double as fall and Halloween decorations, then this 6-foot pumpkin garland is for you. Wrap it on your curtain rods, hang it on your television stand, or place it on your mantel for a little bit of holiday cheer. They’re subtle, functional, and easy to set up.
Amazon alternative: $28 at Amazon
Red Leaf Home Butternut Pumpkin Candle, $8
I went on a sniff-test hunt to find my favorite fall-inspired candle smell, and this butternut pumpkin scent took the number one spot. It’s described to contain essential oils blended in coconut wax and is priced at only $8. You can’t celebrate Halloween without your home smelling like a fresh pumpkin!

Berkshire Goblinville Plush Throw, $17
Getting cozy with a blanket in the chillier months is one of life’s greatest pleasures. If the blanket is garnished with Halloween graphics, then it also makes for a wonderful decoration piece. You can lay it on the side of the bed, chair, or couch to make it visible. I couldn’t get over how lovable these witch kittens are, but you can opt for other plush throw options HomeGoods had available.
