4 months ago 31

Halloween will be here before you know it. If you can’t wait for the spookiest season of the year, you’re in luck. Home Depot is already sharing its Halloween product lineup, and items are shoppable online as of July 18.

If you’re new to the Halloween decor game, know that Home Depot tends to sell out of its best Halloween decor long before October rolls around. In fact, this spooky holiday has become such a big money maker for the store that it’s big news every time it unveils a new bogeyman

So far, though, nothing’s topped its famous 12-Foot Skelly the Skeleton. If you’re just dying to get your hands on one, scroll on over to HomeDepot.com early on July 18. At around 5 or 6 a.m. ET, Skelly — and a whole host of other towering monsters — are going on sale ahead of this year’s holiday.

Is Halloween Decor in Stock at Home Depot?

Home Depot’s brick-and-mortar stores will have its Halloween decor products available by Labor Day, but you can snap up many of them online starting on July 18.

Home Depot Halloween Collection 2024

Want to start stocking up on your Halloween decor before it sells out? Here’s a look at Home Depot’s hottest Halloween decorations for 2024.

12-Foot Skelly Giant Skeleton

You can think of Skelly as the face of Halloween at Home Depot. Standing at an impressive 12 feet tall, this decorative skeleton has been popping up on social media accounts and in yards of homes everywhere. Made from a lightweight yet weather-resistant plastic, Skelly is built to last. And if you’re seeking an even more terrifying look, you can separately purchase the Skelly Scary Head to replace the skull that comes with the skeleton.

7-Foot Skelly’s Dog

Skelly comes with plenty of skeleton accessories that you can use to customize your giant skeleton. However, one of our favorites comes in the form of a companion for Skelly: the 7-foot Skelly’s Dog yard decoration. This skeleton decoration is a bit more friendly than frightening, but it still offers a spooky look and feel. You can think of this skeleton pup as the Zero to Skelly’s Jack Skellington.

13-Foot Giant-Sized Animated LED Jack Skellington

Speaking of Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King joins the Home Depot Halloween product lineup of giant skeletons. He stands an entire foot taller than Skelly, and this piece is the perfect purchase for anyone who can’t get enough of “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” However, he isn’t the only giant to join Skelly’s crew. You can also purchase a 12.5-foot Giant-Sized Inferno Deadwood Skeleton and a 12-foot Giant-Sized Animated LED Levitating Reaper.

7.5-Foot Skull and Bones Archway

An archway can really pull together an outdoor space. If you love all things scary and spooky, not just any arch will do. For just the right touch of terror, you’ll want to add the Skull and Bone Archway. The crest of the arch reaches seven and a half feet tall, so even the tallest of your friends and family can walk under it and feel like they’re in the Catacombs.

36-inch Gothic Tombstone

Not everyone has hundreds of dollars to spend on Halloween decorations – and that’s okay! If you want to create your own spooky cemetery for less, Home Depot has options for you. We love the 36-inch Gothic Tombstone with its unique aged appearance. When paired with pieces like the 30-inch Eerie Tombstone and 42-inch Grim Reaper Statue, you can create an entire graveyard for less than the cost of Skelly.

2.5-foot LED Ghost Golden Retriever

If you’re looking for Halloween decorations that are more fun than frightening, look no further than this adorable LED Ghost Golden Retriever statue. The pup wears an adorable ghost costume and carries a light-up pumpkin pail to collect his Beggar’s Night treats. You can also pick up the 2.5-foot Glow-in-the-Dark Labrador to give your ghostly pup a friend.

7-foot LED Jack O’ Lantern Stack

For inflatable fun on Halloween, you can’t beat this inflatable stack of smiling pumpkins from Home Depot. Measuring seven feet tall, this inflatable Halloween decoration can easily hold its own among the other giants we’ve included on this list. However, it’s more fun and friendly for those who want to make Halloween more merry and less scary.

What Are Home Depot’s Latest Halloween Decor Innovations?

Home Depot has created several new animatronic menaces for its 2024 lineup. Though they were first introduced in April, they are new for this Halloween. Here are a few of our favorites:

12-Ft. Animated Levitating Reaper

If you’d like the Grim Reaper to make his home on your front lawn, just know that he won’t be quiet about it. Home Depot’s floating, motion-sensored reaper utters six phrases, such as “You are merely ants in my game of death and destruction” and “You may attempt to flee, but the darkness shall swallow you whole.” He’s dressed in tattered black robes, and naturally, he’s  clutching a scythe. Plus, he glows from within (in your choice of five colors).

7-Ft. Animated Frankenstein Monster

Frankenstein’s Monster has escaped from his creator’s apartment and landed…in your yard? If you’d like to live out this fantasy, Home Depot will sell you their eye-blinking, arm-waving version. He also has neat neck bolts that blink on and off with blue LED lights.

8.5-Ft. Animated LED Knight Dullahan

The delightful guy’s name is Knight Dullahan, and he’s like the Headless Horseman—but he’s from Irish folklore. In the fable about him, he roams Ireland and snatches the souls of his victims. In this Home Depot version, an eerie, reddish, LED light glows through his eyes, mouth and skeletal chest. His horse’s head moves up and down, while the rider swings his own skeletal head around in his hand. Among the six phrases he utters is this one: “I’ll give you a running start! I do enjoy the chase and earning my trophies.”

7-Ft. LED Animated Victorian Vampire

This 7-foot vampire isn’t just any blood sucker. He hails from the British Victorian era. In other words, he’s really old and wrinkly. His LED eyes glow a sickly yellow, matching his teeth, and when activated by motion, he utters one of six bone-chilling phrases. Here’s one of them: “Life fades into pallid shade as I suck upon your blood.” Creepy.

7-Ft. Animated LED Plague Doctor

During Renaissance times in Europe, plague doctors wore beak-like masks when they treated bubonic plague victims. Now these crow masks are a symbol of death, which is no doubt why Home Depot dressed its own animatronic Plague Doctor in one. And he is ready and willing to bring his deathly vibe to your front yard! He has a LED-lighted lantern, color-changing goggles and a wide brimmed hat to keep the germs away. He mutters six blood-curdling phrases, like “There is evil here, I will rid you of it!” and “Bring me the leaches!”

3.5-Ft. Animated Chucky Doll

Fans of the 1980’s horror film “Child’s Play” might enjoy the deranged fun of having a 3.5-foot, motion-activated Chucky on their front lawns this Halloween. Not only do his head and body move, but his eyes roll around and blink menacingly. “Go ahead and shoot,” he baits passers-by. “I’ll be back! I always come back! I have had it! That’s it! There’s a limit to how much I can take!”

Is Home Depot Going to Have Its 12-Foot Skeleton This Year?

Oh, yes, as you’ll see above, the latest version of this bony lawn stalker comes with LED eyes in eight different colors, including spiraling eyes and flaming eyes. If you plan to keep Skelly up all year, he also comes with heart eyes for Valentine’s Day and fireworks eyes for the Fourth of July. He sells for $299.

Has Home Depot Released Anything New for Skelly Fans?

Is a giant, looming skeleton not scary enough for you? For $379, you can now buy a limited-edition, online-only, animatronic version of Skelly (servo Skelly). He looms and moves!

Of course, many people already own this tall trespasser, who’s been a TikTok sensation for years. But current Skelly owners (including celebrities like Kourtney Kardashian and Kelly Ripa) might want to update their current version by purchasing an eye kit for $29.98.

  • Skelly accessories: You can now outfit your Skelly with a scarier head (for $79.98, online only), ribcage LED lights (for $29.98) or a wig, purse and shoes (for $48.98). And you can buy Skelly his very own 7-foot best friend (shared above)! The 7 Ft. Skelly’s Dog is $199 and comes with a positionable jaw and tail. And there’s no reason why dog lovers can’t just buy the pooch, whose eyes glow just like his owner’s!
  • Mini Skelly: If you find a 12-foot skeleton a bit overwhelming, you can also buy a 3-Ft. Mini LED Skelly for $39.98. Mini Skelly also has LED eyes.
