$400 Bonus for New Chime Account
Chime is not one of our favorite banking accounts. But for $400 I would open an account again. That’s roughly the bonus that you can earn right now through MyPoints or Swagbucks. Let’s see the details of this offer.
The Offer
Open a bank account online with Chime, and you can earn a bonus of :
- 64,600 MyPoints (worth $400), or
- 39,000 Swagbucks (worth $390)
In order to earn this bonus, you need to go through one of those shopping portals and:
- Must be a new Chime customer.
- Sign up with Chime between 9/30/24 and 10/31/24 to earn 5,100 Points
- Download the Chime App.
- Access your new Chime account number and routing number from the app.
- Add your Chime account number and routing number to your payroll contact or service to make payroll direct deposits into your Chime account.
- You must have at least two (2) consecutive qualifying payroll direct deposits of at least $200 each to your Chime account to earn 59,500 Points. The first payroll direct deposit must be received within 30 days of your account signup date.

Conclusion
This is close to the best bonus we have seen for opening a new Chime account, so it is definitely worth doing if you don’t already have Chime.
Just keep in mind that Chime has closed some accounts for no reason in the last few years so I wouldn’t suggest keeping too much money in there for too long. Closures might have been for too many referrals or inactivity, but either way, they can do so without any explanation.
