The Fire HD model streams up to 1080p resolution, so if your TV only outputs 1080p or lower, this might be a a decent budget option at under $20. If your TV outputs at 4K or if you want a faster experience, the Fire TV Stick 4K should be a good mid-range choice at $29.99 since it has 2GB (twice as much as the 1080p model), supports Dolby Atmos audio and WiFi 6, live view pickture-in-picture, and more. If you’re a cinephile on a budget or want a richer experience; the Fire TV 4K Max might be up your ally at $39.99 since it has twice as much storage (16GB) than the 4K model, supports WiFi 6E connectivity, and Fire TV Ambient Experience where you can display art and photos (think of a nice screensaver).
Need some professional advice? PCMag gave the Fire TV Stick HD 1080p and Fire TV Stick 4K an Editors’ Choice award. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max did not get an Editors’ Choice award but it scored an “Excellent” 4/5 rating.
