The latest fun food trend of roasting mini Brie cheese bites to eat on a cracker with fig spread is a winning savory s’mores idea.
Instead of marshmallows, try roasting mini brie bites!
It’s holiday appetizer season, and today, I’m sharing how to jump on the latest food trend for your next party. It’s so fun and delicious. Try making a snack board with everything needed to create savory melted brie s’mores! As soon as I started seeing these on Instagram, I knew we had to try this.
I love that you can make cheesy s’mores outside by a fire or use an indoor tabletop fire pit!
I made a savory s’more featuring roasted melted mini brie cheese served between two crackers with fig jam, and it tasted fantastic! This is such a clever and fun food activity to do with family and friends. You can include this on its own or with a whole spread of meat and cheeses as part of your charcuterie spread this year!

A trip to Trader Joe’s was all I needed for grocery supplies!
They have cute mini Brie bites and Babybel cheeses, as well as their delicious fig spread. I do love Trader Joe’s selection of other cheeses and meats to include on a charcuterie board. There’s another brand of mini brie cheese bites called Supreme that is popping up more in local grocery stores.
You could also just cut a larger wheel of Brie cheese into smaller pieces instead!

Extra tips for making a mini brie s’mores roasting board:
- Consider buying a mini indoor/outdoor concrete fire pit to roast your savory s’mores! My exact model is no longer available, but here is a similar version! You’ll need some rubbing alcohol to use as fuel.
- Don’t forget the marshmallow roasting sticks as you’ll need some of those too!
- If you can’t find mini Brie bites at your store consider buying a larger Brie and cutting it into smaller pieces for roasting.
- Consider adding a selection of salami and other meats so folks can add that in as desired. I added some sliced pears as another option. Next time I want to include some Mike’s hot honey for a spicy condiment!
This is one of the best s’mores ideas EVER!
A cheesy, savory s’mores board will be the hit of your next party! I love that you can customize it with all your favorite meat and cheese combinations so guests can build their own personalized cheesy treat.
