Blake Lively Announces New Haircare Line, Blake Brown Beauty — Here’s Where You Can Get It

Xoxo, Gossip Girl’s here to tell you that Blake Lively just announced the launch of her new haircare line, Blake Brown Beauty, set to hit shelves on August 4th. The actress has been known for her luscious blond waves since she stepped foot in New York City as her famous character, Serena Van Der Woodsen. Now, Lively has taken her iconic look to a store near you — with hair products that she revealed are seven years in the making. If you ask us, it’s a total genius and logical move for her brand. 

Lively took to Instagram to drop the news, writing in the caption that her hair is her “longest companion in life. For 36 years and counting. And like any relationship, it’s healthiest when you take good care of each other.” The It Ends With Us Star continued, “I wanted something that was more affordable but had the same salon/red carpet performance…turns out highest quality is most expensive, who knew??”

What Products Does Blake Brown Beauty Include?

According to the brand’s Instagram post, Blake Brown Beauty consists of eight products: a Fundamental Nourishing Shampoo, Fundamental Nourishing Mask, Fundamental Strengthening Shampoo, Fundamental Strengthening Mask, All-In-wONEder Leave-In Potion, The Dry Shampoo, Glam Mousse, and Rich Reset Pre-ShampooMask (whew, that was a mouthful!). 

If you’ve also noticed, the line doesn’t include a traditional conditioner — but, per Lively herself, that’s actually on purpose. “I don’t know anyone who uses conditioner in my industry,” the A Simple Favor star told Vogue. The entire line features shiny bronze packaging to relay that feeling of luxury hair care. 

In terms of sustainability, the hair products will not contain SLS/SLES, silicones, parabens, phthalates, synthetic dyes, or mineral oils. The line will be reminiscent of Lively’s favorite scents, such as tonka vanille or wild nectar santal, to mimic the smell of high-end fragrances or perfume that she would buy herself. So, yeah, we’d say that the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants star certainly put a lot of thought into this launch.
