Buildable, blendable, beautiful —so say lovers of Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush. Makeup fans have turned this blush into a best-selling sensation, and helped propel Rare Beauty founder Selena Gomez into the very exclusive billionaire’s club.
Whether you’re curious about Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush and considering buying a tube for yourself, or want to learn about more affordable dupes, read on!
Why Is Rare Beauty Liquid Blush So Popular?
There are many lovely blushes out there, and certainly plenty of celeb beauty brands, but Rare Beauty Liquid Blush is at the front of the popularity pack. That is due in no small part due to the vocal makeup fans of TikTok and across social media, who have helped propel this into best-seller status. Once users discovered the unique liquid-to-powder consistency, beautiful and believable finish, and gorgeous, long-lasting color, they were sold.
Rare Beauty Liquid Blush comes in 13 shades, four of which offer a matte finish, nine that are dewy. You can purchase the blushes in both full-size and mini sizes, and occasionally, Rare Beauty will offer a limited edition drops, like a blink-and-it’s-sold-out Resilience shade that was timed to the latest season of Gomez’s “Only Murders in the Building.”
Best Rare Beauty Liquid Blush Dupes
e.l.f. Camo Liquid Blush
Why we love it: The best dupes, well, they duplicate the success of the original product, ideally, for less money. Congrats to e.l.f. for succeeding on both fronts. The brand has a highly-pigmented liquid blush with a handy grooved applicator, similar to the doe-foot applicator on Rare Beauty’s Liquid Blush, with a long-lasting color. It’s about $7 a tube, meaning less than a third of the price of Rare Beauty.
This vegan, cruelty-free product is made with hyaluronic acid, rose flower water and hibiscus flower extract. Fans say it may even be more pigmented than the Rare Beauty. However, there are no matte choices, all nine of these blushes offer a dewy finish.

TLB Beauty Fresh Glow Dream Blush
Why we love it: Black-owned beauty brand TLB Beauty (aka The Lip Bar) began with founder Melissa Butler making vegan lipsticks in her kitchen. Now it’s a successful brand with shelf space at Target. The brand has expanded beyond lips, fortunately. Case in point: the liquid blush, Fresh Grow Dream Blush, a satiny, matte blush that is available in just three, but very pretty and versatile colors, Talk in Cheek (a dusty rose pink), Sweet Cheeks (a coral hue) and Cheek Freak (the brand says it’s a “warm wine.”)

ColourPop Angel Face Liquid Blush
Why we love it: A lovely, lightweight liquid blush made from skin-nourishing ingredients like hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and sea moss. ColourPop Liquid Blush is another featherlight blush with all-day staying power, a solid shade range, and a great, wallet-friendly price point.
Shades: 8
Price: $10 at Target
Maybelline Sunkisser Multi-use Liquid Blush and Bronzer
Why we love it: Get a glowy pop of color with Maybelline Sunkisser. This creamy liquid blush is available in an impressive 10 shades, all with a hint of shimmer. Unlike most of the other liquid blushes here, which truly only need one dot of product for serious impact, Maybelline’s liquid blush is more subtle and less pigmented, so expect a hint of hue rather than that big impact of Rare Beauty.

Price: $10 at Amazon
L’Oréal Paris Lumi Le Liquid Blush
Why we love it: L’Oréal Paris Lumi Le Liquid Blush delivers a healthy and natural color to your face. Much like Rare Beauty’s liquid blush, it’s highly pigmented and you only need a dab from the doe-foot applicator for lasting color. It’s available in six shades, three of which leave a dewy, matte finish, three with a hint of shimmer for more of a glow. However, if you’re on the fair side and looking for a more subtle, subdued shade, you may find L’Oréal’s color range lacking.

Price: $12 at Walmart
Milani Cheek Kiss Liquid Blush + Glow
Why we love it: Some fans of Rare Beauty’s liquid blush blend their favorite shade with a bit of highlighter for a lit-from-within glow, but Milani Cheek Kiss Liquid Blush offers both products in a single, affordable tube. Color and pearl pigments are combined for a subtle shimmer and glow, and in six different shades. The blush contains glycerin, vitamin E and extracts of watermelon, pomegranate and rose.

Benefit Cosmetics Liquid Lip Blush & Cheek Tint
Why we love it: Though it’s not a cheaper option, we’d be remiss to cover liquid blush and not give a shout out to the OG Benetint rose-tinted lip and cheek stain. This classic beauty product was developed for an exotic dancer and became the very first product sold at the Benetint cosmetics store in San Francisco, way back in 1976. Since then, it’s been a bestseller and leader in the category, and the original single rose color has been joined by five more shades.
One thing to note: this is much more of a stain than a cream, meaning it’s quite liquidy rather than creamy. But much like the other blushes here, it’s buildable and imparts a gorgeous, all-day color to your cheeks (and conveniently, your lips, too).

Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Soft Pinch Blush Brush
Why we love it: Though you can use your fingers or a beauty blender to blend in your liquid blush, some people prefer using a brush. YouTuber Milabu does a fantastic side-by-side comparison of brush vs. fingers here if you’re curious to see the difference. If you do want a brush, you can’t go wrong with the synthetic Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Soft Pinch Blush Brush, designed to work perfectly with the Soft Pinch product.
Whatever way you choose to apply the product, it’s very important that you’re ready to go as soon as you apply your dot(s) of blush to your cheeks, since the color needs to be blended asap. Have your tools — or clean fingers — ready to go!
