All information about the American Express® Business Gold Card has been collected independently by Miles to Memories.

Amex Business Gold 200K Offer

American Express is targeting select customers with an offer to earn 200,000 Membership Rewards points when applying for the American Express Business Gold card. This offer was recently available through referral links and that’s no longer the case. But it is still showing up for some people when googling the card. Let’s see the details.

The Offer

This is a targeted offer:

  • Earn 200,000 Membership Rewards® points after you spend $15,000 or more on eligible purchases on your Card within your first 3 months of Card Membership starting from the approval date.
  • Intro APR 0.0% Intro APR for 6 months for new Card Members from the date of account opening on purchases eligible for Pay Over Time, then a 19.49% – 28.49% variable APR.
  • Annual Fee: $375
  • NO DIRECT LINK

In order to look for this offer, you can just google “Amex Business Gold” and click on the first link. You can try different browsers, locations, devices, wifis etc. You might need to try numerous times, and even then it’s not guaranteed that you will see 200K. But the offer is around as we have a few datapoints of it showing up in recent days.

You can also google “Amex Business Platinum” and if you see a 250K offer there, then navigate to other cards and select Business Gold.

Card Highlights

The American Express Business Gold comes with a pretty great earning structure if the categories line up with your spending patterns. It is an underrated card in my opinion with a 4X earning cap 6X larger than the personal Amex Gold.

  • Earn 4x Membership Rewards on the two categories your business spends the most each billing cycle. Good for up to $150,000 in combined purchases each calendar year in the following categories.
    • Purchases at U.S. media providers for advertising in select media (online, TV, radio)
    • U.S. purchases at restaurants, including takeout and delivery
    • U.S. purchases at gas stations
    • Monthly wireless telephone service charges made directly from a provider in the U.S.
    • Transit purchases including trains, taxicabs, rideshare services, ferries, tolls, parking, buses, and subways.
    • U.S. purchases made from electronic goods retailers and software & cloud system providers
  • Earn up to $20 in statement credits each month for eligible purchases at FedEx, Grubhub, and Office Supply Stores. Enrollment required.
  • Walmart+ Membership Credit for a monthly Walmart + membership (subject to auto-renewal).

Conclusion

This new offer is close to the best ever for the Amex Business Gold card. 200,000 points are generally worth more than $3,000 when used for travel through transfer partners.

But if you are targeted, make sure that you can complete the spending requirement. You now need to spend $15,000 within the first three months. That’s not an easy feat for every small business.

Let us know if you are targeted, and if you get approved for this offer!
